Iran is also believed to be behind the Beirut attack on the marine barracks that killed a lot of US Marines. They also did the 444 days of hostages in the Tehran embassy but I can overlook that as we put the Shah in power back in the 70's (?).
All that is required for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing.

I beg to differ. All of the worst evils are done by men twisting the work of good men for their evil purposes. If all good men did nothing, I suspect evil men would all be reduced to petty thuggery. Instead they stand on the shoulders of people who are trying to feed their families and steer them to war.
Of course, what good does it do to postulate about that. I would be willing to make a prediction. I think there will be a nuclear attack on someone within the next 20 - 30 years. What can be done, or are we all better off walking head long into catastrophe... I've always enjoyed the thought that after my life was over, the story pretty much ends, but if I were to have kids this stuff would probably be pissing me off. Perhaps there is a can of whoop ass that needs to be opened on this planet.... hmmmm that's some food for thought right there.
