Does anyone know what percentage of the population does not believe in evolution? This could be a meaningful measure of a countries intelligence and education level.
Only 13% believe that God had nothing to do with the evolutionary process.
I think education is the main problem. Children aren't being taught evolution in the correct way. I'd assume that most science classes learn 'natural selection' which is a rather poor explanation.
Evolution should be taught as a unifying theory of biology. It should be the keystone that every concept is related to, rather than a 'unit' and part of biology.
Hmmmm, I haven't read the articles about Iran's nuclear program that were posted earlier, but the statistics Brett posted (even though they are from cbsnews) make me wonder if we should just let Iran have their nukes, and while we are at it... lets use ours. Then we can all prove evolution the hard way.
