This is an interesting move. Perhaps it is part of a political initiative to place more of the blame for problems in Iraq on Iran and Syria. That seems like it would be a pretty good plan, especially considering the political climate, I wonder if the administration will hype up what they "find".

According to other news reports this was not a declared embassy or consulate site and was declared as such only after the raid. The occupants were not register diplomats. Iranian news reports should be taken only with a truck load of salt.
